Investing in Our Future

Welcome to the redesigned Regional Utility Services website and the new RUS blog.

In looking for an image to best summarize our vision as a veteran-owned small business, I thought of this photograph. The location is Bad Creek Hydro Sub-station and the group is eighth graders in the gifted math and science classes of Pickens Middle School and Dacusville Middle School. The students’ guide that day was Jerry Moody, Technical Director for RUS’s Hydro Services Division. Jerry arranged a special behind-the-scenes tour of the facility – and gave every student an RUS t-shirt and an RUS hardhat. He showed them turbines and wicket gates up close – and he explained how a hydro plant generates power.

This photograph says a lot about Regional Utility Services. We are hydro experts and we are proud of what we do. We are community minded and we are invested in the best possible education for our children. And most of all we are excited about the future of our industry. This group of junior high school students represents our company’s future welders, mechanics, engineers and industrial designers – and also our future business partners. We want to do all we can to make sure they are successful.

I hope you find our new website to be informative and easy to navigate. I welcome your feedback. And if you are looking for a specialty contractor to meet your industrial maintenance and repair needs, please give me a call at 864-327-1993. I look forward to hearing from you.
